Our first stop outside of California on our journey from Los Angeles to Colorado was Sedona, Arizona. We arrived late in the evening and met up with Laura’s aunt Pat and set up shop in an Airstream via AirBnb.
Both Laura and I had to teach Friday and Saturday nights, so we were out of commission for several hours each night. Still, we managed to get in a few hikes and an evening around the campfire before moving on to the Grand Canyon.
Overall we enjoyed the area with the unique red rock formations and beautiful vistas, but it was a little resort-like for my taste. It was nice to meet our hosts Kimberly and Jason as well as Aunt Pat, who did a wonderful job showing us around Sedona.
