Two thousand fourteen started quietly, with lots of work and thus little time for travel save the few weekend trips around Southern California and a nice week in Yosemite in April.
Come May however, the time had come to make the move from Los Angeles to our new home-Colorado. The move itself became a two week camping trip with our friend Laura, which took us through the southwest and included national parks such as The Grand Canyon and Mesa Verde as well as other memorable stops at locales such as Monument Valley Navajo Tribal Park and Paige, Arizona.
Since arriving in Colorado, we’ve had lots of opportunity for hiking, including many trails in the Front Range from Denver up to Fort Collins, with emphasis in Rocky Mountain National Park as well as visits to the unique towns dotting the mountains.
Finishing out the year with a bang, we traveled back to Utah for Christmas to take in Bryce Canyon and Zion National Parks for an eight-day hiking trip.
Onward to 2015! May it be one full of adventure for all!
