A  new year has come, so thus comes all those pesky top-ten lists. I thought it only right to get in on the action.

Here, I’ve compiled a list of my overall favorite destinations in 2014.  The list is diverse in that it includes national parks, historical sites and just plain gorgeous spots, but has at least one thing in common-they are all outdoor spaces.

Some of the choices, such as Yosemite or Bryce were easy to make, while others were difficult to choose from among the many beautiful places we were fortunate enough to have been able to visit in the past year.

Look for my top 10 hikes soon!

  1. Some of my favorite places on earth are right there, on your list (including your top 2). Maybe I’ll see more of them this year, thanks to your recommendations!

    1. Ann, I’m glad you enjoyed and thanks for your comment. Lots of good places to explore out there-I’m excited about the prospects for the coming year!

  2. Beautiful shot of Monument Valley, perfect timing. I’ve been to Bryce a few times in the winter, but the snow conditions weren’t right for getting a good shot. Very beautiful.
